This celebration takes place on Dec. 31st and in July each year. We will witness how these magnificent costumes are made and the sounds of Junkanoo.

The Fish Fry: In the Bahamas’ Out Islands, the tradition of Fish Fry defines a gathering of small stands & shacks where cooks prepare authentic homemade Bahamian cuisine- from fried chicken and stew’ fish to conch salad, conch chowder, cracked conch to fish that is delivered daily.

Other Stops: We will travel through the ‘real’ Nassau, not just the tourist areas to see the real neighborhoods of our brother and sisters, the churches where they worship, the Rum Cake Factory, a liquor store that may be cheaper than the ship, the Atlantis, and many other ‘surprises’ as time permits. We will arrive back to the downtown area in time for you to buy those ‘special’ things you forgot before returning to the ship.
